47 Hour Firearms Training Course

NYS Certified 47-Hour Firearms Training Course 

This comprehensive program covers:

  • Firearm safety rules & safe handling
  • Fundamentals of shooting & marksmanship
  • Tactical shooting techniques
  • Use of force (including deadly physical force)
  • Shotgun & rifle familiarization
  • Firearm care, maintenance & cleaning

Whether you’re new to firearms or experienced, our low-pressure, professional training approach ensures every student builds confidence and skill.


Course Requirements

To successfully complete the course, participants must:

  • Pass all shooting qualifications (minimum 70%)
  • Pass the written exam
  • Attend ALL scheduled training days

 Eligibility Requirements

To register, you must have:

  • A valid NYS Pistol Permit
  • You must have your own weapon.
  • You must provide your own ammo – Approximately 700 rounds required

 Course Cost

  • $725.00 (training, range time, targets & safety equipment included)

🎓 Certification

Students who successfully complete all requirements will receive a Course Completion Certificate, qualifying them for armed security guard status in New York State.

  • Holster
  • Minimum 700 rounds of ammunition
