INITIAL PEACE OFFICER TRAINING

162-Hour Basic Course for Peace Officers

Comprehensive basic training for newly appointed NYS Peace Officers. The course provides the foundational knowledge and skills required to perform Peace Officer duties in accordance with New York State training standards.

51-Hour Peace Officer Firearms Course

Initial firearms training for Peace Officers whose duties require them to carry a firearm. Training includes classroom instruction, firearm safety, live-fire training, qualification, and required course documentation.

Training can be coordinated for individual agencies and groups of officers.

ANNUAL & SPECIALIZED TRAINING

Safety Quest provides continuing and agency-specific Peace Officer training, including:

  • Annual Weapons Training & Qualification

  • Body Armor / Vest Inspection
