COURSE DESCRIPTION
The 8-Hour Annual In-Service Training Course is required for both armed and unarmed NYS Security Guards, unless an exemption applies.
This course provides updated training on the duties, responsibilities, and legal requirements of security guards.

ANNUAL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
During each two-year registration period, security guards are generally required to complete two 8-Hour Annual In-Service Courses.

Armed Security Guards must also complete their required 8-Hour Annual Firearms Training each year.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
After registration, please upload a copy of your Driver’s License and NYS Security Guard Registration Card to your account dashboard.
Bring both original documents to class for instructor verification.
