8-Hour Annual Firearms Training

NYS Armed Security Guards

This course fulfills the annual firearms training requirement for NYS Armed Security Guards.

Course Requirements

Participants must successfully complete:

• Use of Force lecture and review
• 10-question written examination — 70% minimum passing score
• 50-round firearms qualification — 70% minimum passing score (35 of 50 rounds)

What to Bring

• Firearm carried for duty
• Holster
• 50 rounds of ammunition
• Required identification and licenses
